Melita has a proven ability in quality beekeeping that goes back generations. Currently our Beekeeping operations have the scale to span more than 10,000 hives, and currently sitting at 6,000+ hives, spread across the North Island of New Zealand.

Our team of beekeepers are passionate about what they do. We bring the lightest touch to our beekeeping operations, looking after our bees as nature intended, and are immensely proud of the wealth of experience in our 30-strong team. We are always looking to attract like-minded beekeepers who share our values to be part of our Melita growth story.

Innovation is at the heart of our beekeeping operation, and the ways that we look after our hives.

There are no lengths that we won’t go to to produce top quality honey. Our honey sites are located in the remotest parts of New Zealand. These wild, natural places are the best for honey production, and what comes off our hives is exactly what you’ll find in our packed jars of Honey.
